Diversity Scholarships

The Computation + Journalism Symposium welcomes and encourages participation by people of all backgrounds and identities. We aspire to make our community more welcoming to women, non-binary and transgender people, people of color, people from the Global South, and other oft-underrepresented groups in recognition of the fact that they bring unique personal and professional experiences that will enhance our dialogue and enrich our knowledge.

Thanks to the generous support of The Pudding and the Knight Foundation, to increase participation at the Computation + Journalism Symposium by underrepresented or historically marginalized groups, we are awarding several diversity scholarships to defray travel, lodging and registration fees.
